Kundalini Yoga & Meditation
🗓️ Tuesday, May 5, 2026
10:30am, 60 minutes, w/ Elizabeth Bogart
In celebration of Member Appreciation Month... Join us for a special Kundalini Yoga & Meditation class with guest teacher, Elizabeth Bogart.
Kundalini Yoga is a unique combination of movement (called a kriya), breathing techniques (pranayama), mantra (chanting), and meditation with mudra (hand postures). Each kriya works like a recipe to reset, regulate, and balance your nervous system. Each meditation is a unique combination of mantra, mudra, and eye gaze that plays the body like an instrument. There are thousands of different kriyas that have their own effect on the body. We'll be practicing a gentle, heart-opening kriya and indulging in a delicious chant-out-loud meditation aligned to Taurus Season. We'll chat a little bit about how the water of the body is impacted by music, mantra, and singing -- and how we can use the power of our own voice to promote cellular healing. It's best understood by experiencing it, so come try it.
If you have the time after class, stick around for an informal Kundalini Q & A and a chance to pull Oracle Cards (just for fun).
Elizabeth’s Bio:
Elizabeth Bogart is a Kundalini Yoga teacher and Reiki practitioner based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Elizabeth has been teaching/practicing this style of yoga for over 15 years and affectionately describes this practice as "putting yourself in the washing machine" in a good way. She first stumbled upon this practice by accident when living in India, and quickly fell in love with how sparkly, powerful, clear & connected she felt after each class. She also teaches kids yoga, prenatal yoga, and yoga nidra. She recently self-published a book of meditation for individuals and families preparing to conceive which includes kundalini meditations and other mini-self care practices "to help mother yourself as you prepare for motherhood." She regularly comes to Wake Forest to visit brother's family and is delighted to be teaching at The Yoga Loft during Member's Appreciation Month. IG @eb_heartwork

Creative Stillness: Art, Movement, & Meditation
🗓️ Saturday, May 30, 2026
3:00pm, 90 minutes, w/ Ann
Join Ann for a 90-minute intentional journey inward, blending creative expression, mindful movement, breathwork, and meditation to support a deeper connection to your practice both on and off the mat.
We’ll begin with 30 minutes of guided art-making. Each participant will receive a decorative box and be invited to fill it with words, intentions, and reflections. This creative process offers space to explore where your practice is now, where you’d like it to grow, and what you may be ready to release or carry with more clarity.
From there, Ann will guide you into 40 minutes of mindful movement, flowing through classic salutations into a slow, intentional sequence. Expect a beautiful balance of fluid transitions and steady holds in standing postures to build strength, awareness, and grounding.
The final portion will be dedicated to meditation and breathwork. You’ll be offered different approaches to stillness, allowing you to choose what feels most supportive for you.
This workshop is open to all levels and designed to meet you exactly where you are. Come as you are and leave feeling centered, supported, and connected.

Sound & Soul: Sound Bath & Journaling for Self Love & Discovery
🗓️ Sunday, February 22, 2026
3:30pm, 90 minutes, w/ Stephanie Thurm
Sink into a deeply nourishing experience designed to reconnect you with yourself at a gentle, unhurried pace. **Sound & Soul** is a self-love and self-discovery workshop inviting you to soften, listen inward, and explore what it means to truly care for yourself.
What to Expect
Guided Sound Bath
The experience begins with a guided sound bath, where soothing tones from crystal singing bowls, chimes, and other harmonic instruments wash over you. These vibrations help calm the nervous system, quiet mental chatter, and create space for insight and emotional release. You’ll be invited to rest comfortably, breathe deeply, and simply receive — allowing the sounds to support relaxation, clarity, and inner balance.
Reflective Journaling Practice
Following the sound bath, we’ll transition into a reflective journaling practice. With thoughtfully crafted prompts centered on self-love, values, and personal discovery, you’ll have time to translate your inner experience into words. This portion of the workshop supports honest self-expression, helping uncover patterns, desires, and truths that may be ready to emerge.

You are always welcome to engage in the way that feels most supportive — writing, breathing, listening, or resting. There is no pressure to participate in any one way and no expectation to share.
Held as a limited February offering, The Sacred Pause invites you to step out of the noise of daily life and into a moment of intentional pause.

🗓️ Saturday, February 14th, 2026
6:00pm, 2 hours, w/ Nicole Bayer
This special Valentine’s event invites couples to slow down, reconnect, and remember why they chose each other. Designed as an all-level partner practice, the evening blends playful couples yoga with a simple, fully clothed mini massage lesson and a deeply restorative finish.
Guided by an experienced yoga teacher and licensed massage therapist, in a softly lit room with curated music and cozy props, couples will be guided through:
Accessible partner yoga postures to build trust, presence, and a sense of “we’re in this together”
Synchronized breathing and heart-centered practices to regulate the nervous system and deepen emotional connection
A mini couples massage demo, where each partner learns a few safe, easy techniques for shoulders, back, and neck that they can confidently offer at home
A deeply restful side-by-side savasana with guided relaxation, a treat and a closing gratitude ritual
You’ll leave with a shared practice, a few go-to massage sequences, and a renewed appreciation for one another!
No prior yoga or massage experience is needed, and all touch is consent-based and optional, making the event welcoming for both new and seasoned practitioners.
